Well, Halloween is over and November is upon us – it's time to move onward and upward. And this week we picked one of our favorite topics: Football!

#FunFriday: Tackle, Touchdown, Tailgate
This week marks the halfway point of the NFL football season. So we're highlighting three touchdown-worthy tips that will help you make the most of the rest of the season. And non-football fans, we have resources to help you create an illusion of knowing what you're talking about, so don't go anywhere.
1. Sound like you know what you're talking about: Maybe you are someone who doesn't love football, and you find yourself bored at gatherings and parties centered on the game. Well, as with most things, it’s a lot more fun if you understand what's going on. Even if you aren't someone who really follows the sport, having a general idea of the rules and objectives can help you follow along and make the whole event more enjoyable.
The NFL's Beginners Guide to Football is a good place to start. Football can seem very complicated to a newbie, but this guide covers the basics without getting into too much terminology or unnecessary detail.
2. Tailgate like a seasoned pro: Football season means tailgating season. Die-hard fans relish this time to get fired up for watching their favorite team. Even for the casual fan, tailgating is a blast. Spending time with friends, eating great food, enjoying the crisp fall weather … what's not to love?

But when you're tailgating, sometimes you have to get creative.

3. Come Armed with Killer Game-Day Eats: What's the best part of any football viewing party or game-day gathering, other than the game itself? The food, of course! Buffalo wings, nachos, chili dogs … football season seems to be synonymous with hearty, delicious snacks and treats.

There isn't a single dish shown that we wouldn't happily devour, but we are especially intrigued by some of the more unique recipes – like the sweet-and-spicy Sloppy Cola Joe Dogs (sloppy joes made with a splash of cola and served in a hot dog bun), or the Warm Turnip Green Dip.
