| If Polytron Technologies has its way, you'll barely be able to see your next smartphone. The Taiwan-based manufacturer has released a futuristic-looking prototype for what it hopes will be the world's first transparent smartphone. The product, which remains in its early stages, is made from Polytron's Polyvision Privacy Glass. The glass is opaque when powered off, but it appearance transforms when electricity is applied.

| If was certainly a huge week in tech — so big we almost wished we had a Top 20 instead of a Top 10. Not only did we have our usual slew of gadgets and techno-news, we also had a big controversy around a certain electric car, a heart-warming 3D-printing story and a juicy (or not?) Apple rumor. The big controversy of the week stemmed from a New York Times review of the electric Tesla Model S which criticized the car's battery performance.
