Twitter, Pinterest and Tumblr Notify of Security Breach After Zendesk Hack | | Twitter, Pinterest and Tumblr have all warned their users that some of their data might be compromised after a security breach at Zendesk, a company which provides customer support services for all three companies. In a blog post titled "We've been hacked," Zendesk explains that a hacker has accessed their systems and probably downloaded user info from Twitter, Tumblr and Pinterest users.

| NBC.com was not functioning properly Thursday afternoon. Visitors to the site saw the following warning: However, the site appeared to be back to normal later in the afternoon. An NBC rep confirmed to Mashable during the outage that that "there is definitely a situation," but declined to provide more details. Sister sites like Bravotv.com and CNBC.com do not appear to be affected.

| Amazon went back to the creative well for a new Kindle Paperwhite ad. As with previous Kindle ads, an attractive woman in a black bikini meets up with a clueless, iPad-toting guy who is jealous of her ability to read in harsh sunlight thanks to the Kindle's E-Ink technology. There's a twist in this latest ad, however. A same-sex couple shakes up the formula a bit, melting the former ice queen's heart somewhat.

| As interest in Google Glass intensifies, Google is looking to expand the appeal of the device with a more stylish look, according to a report. Citing "two people briefed on the negotiations," The New York Times reports that Google is in talks with eyewear designer Warby Parker to develop "more fashionable frames" for Glass. Reps from Warby Parker and Google could not be reached for comment on the report.
