Old Spice is looking to appeal to men's wilder side — and the company is using a wolf to do it. So to speak. To market its Wild body fragrance collection, the P&G-owned brand has developed a character, Mr. Wolfdog, and appointed him Director of Marketing for Old Spice. Mr. Wolfdog speaks through a "patent-pending" electronic voice collar that translates Wolfdog communication into English, according to P&G.

Can Facebook Put Video Ads in News Feed Without Angering Users?

Facebook video ads are coming to your News Feed — it's just a matter of when. AdAge reported in mid-December that Facebook was planning to introduce a new ad product "by April at the latest" that would let marketers target video ads in users' News Feeds on desktop and mobile devices. According to that report, the ads would max out at 15 seconds and start playing automatically in the feed.

Syfy Channel Opens Pop-Up Hotel at SXSW

AUSTIN — As attendees know, hotel space at South by Southwest is scarce. For some, even spending a night in a shipping container may be preferable to staying somewhere miles away. Syfy is testing that theory with a pop-up hotel on San Jacinto and 4th Street designed to address the hotel-room shortage in town. However, the idea is really more of a marketing stunt than an actual solution to limited sleeping quarters.
