| DoSomething.org, the service that uses SMS messaging to connect teens with volunteer opportunities that don’t require money, a parent or a car, is now texting with more than 1 million teens. The not-for-profit organization made the announcement Tuesday at AllThingsD's Dive into Mobile Conference in New York City.

| T-Mobile has finally revealed the launch date for HTC One on its network: April 24. Answering questions from several Twitter users about the HTC One, T-mobile simply replied it will be launching the LTE version of the device on April 24.

| Facebook just updated its iOS app to version 6.0, adding support for chat heads and a new news feed. Chat heads debuted with Facebook Home last week and are available to all Android users as part of the Facebook Messenger app. The idea behind chat heads are to allow users to keep a running list of conversations going without having to stop what they are doing and switch apps.

| Facebook Home will start rolling out to users outside of the U.S. on Tuesday, Facebook's head of mobile engineering Cory Ondrejka revealed at ATD's Dive Into Mobile conference. Furthermore, Ondrejka said that the first update to Facebook Home is coming in the "second week of May." No details about the new version were given. The new Facebook-centric UI for Android phones became available in the U.S.

| Samsung's Galaxy S 4 is now available for pre-order at AT&T and U.S. Cellular. At AT&T, users can pre-order the Galaxy S 4 in either White Frost or Black Mist — both in 16GB capacities — for $199.99 with a two-year contract. AT&T is showing a ship date of April 30, which is just two weeks away. Last month, AT&T announced that the 32GB Galaxy S 4 would be available for $249.99, but as of this writing, only the 16GB variant is available.

| Google CEO Eric Schmidt is very optimistic about Android. Its path, however, is separate from the path of Chrome OS, as Schmidt has more or less put to rest persistent rumors that the two operating systems would soon merge. It’s a story he’s been repeating since the company moved Chrome OS and Apps head Sundar Pichai into the Android lead position vacated by Andy Rubin.

| Google has released a lot of new information about Google Glass, including the specs and new tools for developers. It also slipped out a brief FAQ page on Glass, and it answers a few questions no one even asked. Google makes it absolutely clear that you shouldn't wear Glass while scuba diving, for example. Apparently, users shouldn't let the device come into contact with any liquids.

| With 150 million photos uploaded (and evaporating) each day, Snapchat is a success. Even so, it has a reputation, fair or not, as a platform for teens to share racy (even nude) pictures of themselves. CEO and Co-Founder Evan Spiegel told an audience at AllThingsD's Dive into Mobile in New York City on Tuesday that Snapchat "isn’t a great tool for sexting." Spiegel is not denying the existence of naked snapchats.
