Google Earth for Android Gets Street View | | Google has updated its Google Earth Android app to version 7.1, bringing several important improvements, most notably the support for Street View. If you want to explore the Earth from the street level, zoom into an area and the Pegman — the little yellow guy signifying the availability of Street View — will appear in the right hand corner. Drag and drop him into a street and you'll jump right into Street View.

| Eye-tracking technology has been in the news lately, thanks to rumors indicating that it would be included in the new Samsung Galaxy S4. As it turned out, Samsung's Smart Scroll actually uses a different technology but, for the American Civil Liberties Union, this is still a good time to investigate whether these kinds of technologies pose any privacy risks.

| This is not a good sign. Barely a month into the first "Facebook Phone's" life, the Facebook Home-sporting HTC First price has been slashed from $99.99 with a two year contract to just 99 cents with the same AT&T two-year agreement. AT&T's own web site makes the situation look, if possible, worse, by displaying the original HTC First price, $350.99 and subtracting $350.

| Wearing Google Glass is an experience that's hard to describe accurately. When you tell people that it creates a virtual screen that appears to float in front of you, they tend to get the idea that it's very distracting or obtrusive. That's not the case, although the display is certainly "there" when it's on. A picture would convey the idea much better, but how do you photograph a virtual screen? It turns out to be easier than it sounds.
