These days, even lamps in your house can be programmed via Arduino. A Canadian design company called Fabule has developed Clyde, an LED desk lamp that can be programmed with personality modules in its "brain." It's compatible with Arduino, an open-source electronics program. For example, when Clyde is in "afraid of the dark" mode, he can light up depending on how dark a room is.

Instagram Photos You're Tagged In Go Public

Two weeks ago, Instagram announced users could begin tagging themselves and others in photos through Instagram's iOS and Android apps. Those photos have been quietly filling up a hidden profile section called "Photos of You," which goes public for the first time Thursday. You can now pull up the profile of almost anyone on the service — anyone who doesn't have a private account, that is — and browse photos he or she appears in.

Pebble Smart Watch Raises $15 Million, Releases Official SDK

Everyone's favorite smart watch — the Pebble — just raised $15 million in Series A funding. The company also released the next evolution of its official SDK, now known as the PebbleKit. Led by Charles River Ventures, the $15 million Series A isn't the biggest amount of funding we've seen in the hardware space, but it's impressive when you consider the context of the round — and Pebble's crowdfunding roots.
