Three Things to Know This Week
There are always news development, industry items, or something going viral from week-to-week. Here's what caught our eye this week, and if you saw something of note that we missed, leave it in the comments below.
You never know how it might be incorporated into a future #FunFriday post …
LG Tests Its New TV by Terrorizing People … Again
Here’s an interview process I might try here at FeedBlitz – it’s a bit mean, but seeing the incredibly heart-felt reactions of these job applicants is worth the watch. This is the second viral video LG has created to demonstrate its latest technology. Do you approve of its efforts to scare up some PR? So far, it seems to be working!
Can a Social Network Truly Be Private? Maybe It's Time to Try Path
If traditional social networks like Facebook, Twitter or FourSquare leave you feeling unsure who exactly is viewing your photo of breakfast, Path might be just what you never knew you needed. This social network is designed for family and close friends as a private platform where users can share updates, photos, videos, and other content.
Path touts itself as 'the place for your personal life' and it’s an ad-free environment, with features like a limited amount of friends (150 max), and the ability to keep posts private.
However, you do have the option to share posts within public social media platforms like Facebook by way of text, voice or traditional posting. Intrigued?
Out in the Open: What Acxiom Knows About Your Data
The New York Times ran an interesting (and eye-opening) piece this week on the availability of personal data online. There's a new site, AboutTheData.com, where you can enter a few pieces of information to find out what personal and behavioral data is available about you online. The article addresses a few eyebrow-raising pitfalls of this new website. We're curious, but not enough to try it out! If you check out your details, let us know if it's accurate.
Well, that wraps up another #FunFriday here at FeedBlitz. Have a great weekend everyone!
