We all like a good milestone — anniversaries and birthdays spring to mind on a personal basis — because they mark progress. In business, the milestone might be your first sale, a noteworthy delivery perhaps, or the anniversary of your incorporation. Milestones matter internally, because passing a milestone also means (at least) continued survival, and therefore continued employment for your people. Milestones matter externally because they are proof that you are thriving, and therefore serve as an indicator of fitness to the market at large.
Here at FeedBlitz, we have our internal metrics that we like to watch, and last Thursday we passed a significant milestone – one I’d like to share with you all. Thursday was the first time we sent more than five million emails in a single day. Moreover, we didn’t just eke our way through that number; Thursday blew the doors off. Better yet, we continue to ship all these emails as we grow with our excellent deliverability.
