36th Annual North Carolina Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Raleigh, N.C. - Governor Pat McCrory will light the North Carolina Christmas tree tomorrow night on the South Lawn of the State Capitol. The festivities begin at 5 p.m. with performances by the Middlesex Church of God Trio and the Raleigh Concert Band. After the tree is lit around 6:30 p.m., the Capitol will host an open house. The Executive Mansion will also be open to visitors until 8 p.m.

Four Drivers Looking for First Points Win at Charlotte Test at Charlotte Motor Speedway

The four drivers participating this week in Goodyear's tire test at Charlotte Motor Speedway couldn't be much different. They drive for different teams and different manufacturers. They have different driving styles and different personalities on and off the track. But one thing Dale Earnhardt Jr., Carl Edwards, Sam Hornish and Paul Menard all have in common is a strong desire to get a points race win at NASCAR's home track.
