Governor McCrory Appoints Superior Court Judge for Cleveland and Lincoln Counties Posted: 23 Dec 2014 12:48 PM PST Raleigh, N.C. - Governor Pat McCrory has appointed attorney Todd Pomeroy as Superior Court judge for Cleveland and Lincoln counties. Pomeroy will fill the vacancy of Superior Court Judge James W. Morgan in District 27B who will retire on December 31, 2014. "Todd Pomeroy has been practicing criminal law in the district in which he will preside for nearly 18 years," Governor McCrory said. Governor McCrory Selects Next Department of Environment and Natural Resources Secretary Posted: 23 Dec 2014 09:26 AM PST Raleigh, N.C. - Governor Pat McCrory announced today that he has selected Donald van der Vaart as the next secretary for the N.C. Department of Environment and Natural Resources. Van der Vaart currently serves as deputy secretary and energy policy advisor for the agency. Van der Vaart replaces John E. Skvarla, whom Governor McCrory has named to lead the N.C. Department of Commerce when Secretary Sharon Decker leaves at the end of December.
