Governor McCrory Recognizes State’s Top Volunteers for 2015

Raleigh, N.C.- Governor Pat McCrory presented the state's highest award for volunteer service in 2015 to 21 recipients today during a ceremony at the State Capitol. Volunteers from across the state were recognized for their dedication and outstanding service that enriches the lives of others and makes a difference in their community.

North Carolina Pays off Unemployment Debt to Federal Government

Raleigh, N.C. - Governor Pat McCrory announced today North Carolina has paid off the unemployment insurance debt owed to the federal government. That debt was as high as $2.8 billion and stood at $2.5 billion when Governor McCrory took office in January 2013.

Council of State Unanimously Approves Dix Sale

Raleigh, NC – The North Carolina Council of State unanimously approved an agreement today that will sell the 300 acre-plus Dorothea Dix campus to the City of Raleigh for approximately $52 million. The agreement was reached by the McCrory Administration and City of Raleigh earlier this year.
