City of Lincolnton Parks and Recreation Summer Camps

BASKETBALL

The City of Lincolnton Parks and Recreation and the Lincolnton High School Athletic Department is now taking registration for a Summer Basketball Camp for boys and girls grades 2 – 8 to be held Wednesday – Friday, June 13 – 15 from 9:00a.m. – 12:00p.m. at the Lincolnton High School Gym. Camp director is Coach Bob Cowie. Cost for the camp is $25.00. Registration for the camp is being taken at the Lentz Recreation Center at Betty G. Ross Park Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm. TENNIS

The City of Lincolnton Parks and Recreation and the Lincolnton High School Athletic Department is now taking registration for Summer Tennis Clinics for boys and girls ages 8 – 17 to be held June 11 – 15 and June 18 – 22 from 8:30a.m. – 10:00a.m. The clinics will be held at Betty G. Ross Park. Cost for the camp is $25.00. Camp director is Coach Chris Hoffman. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged. Registration for the camp is being taken at the Lentz Recreation Center at Betty G. Ross Park Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm. Ryan’s shuts down in Lincolnton

Ryan's Steaks, Buffet and Bakery has shut down in Lincolnton.

Hungry patronages with high hopes of chowing at Ryan’s Steaks, Buffet and Bakery in Lincolnton were met with disappointment Wednesday as the eatery posted a sign on its doors saying it was permanently closed.

Last February, rumors swirled about the local Ryan’s would shut down as many of the restaurants across the nation announced they were closing.

Instead, the local buffet was spared in the cut, but breakfast would no longer served at the Lincolnton location.

Emails to Ryan’s were not returned to comment on this matter.
