| Sorry, singles with Android, BlackBerry, Windows or old-school cellphones. Your iPhone-toting compatriots are getting more first date action than you, according to a recent survey of singledom. The survey, conducted by Match.com, drew on singles both in and outside its service. Some 5,000 non-married men and women in the U.S. were asked more than 200 questions, including whether they had been on one or more first dates in the last year.

| Long before it was a gleam in Sergey Brin's eye, Thad Starner was sporting a bulky, comparatively prehistoric version of what would ultimately become Google Glass. Starner introduced wearable computing to MIT in 1993; he now has two decades of experience in computer-aided perception. His accoutrements got the attention of Brin and Google co-founder Larry Page back in 1998, who later made him the technical lead manager on Glass.

| Apple returned up to 8 million iPhones to Foxconn “due to appearance of substandard or dysfunctional problems.” This could cost Cupertino’s top manufacturer up to $1.6 billion, according to a report from China Business. The report doesn’t mention specific problems with the handsets. Additionally, we don’t know which models were returned.

| Nokia teased a possible new QWERTY phone, coming later this week. The company said it would reveal "something new" early on Wednesday. The announcement, revealed on Nokia's Conversations blog, will come at 3 a.m. ET followed by an online Q&A with Neil Broadley, from the company's mobile phones team. The early morning time suggests a European or Asian-centric launch.
