CollegeHumor Offers $2,600 to Buy Banana From Man Who Lost Life Savings | | Henry Gribbohm, the New Hampshire man who lost $2,600 in life savings at a carnival game only to score a stuffed banana as consolation, may see his luck turn around. Comedy site CollegeHumor launched a Facebook campaign Tuesday to buy back Gribbohm's banana — which sports a beanie and dreadlocks — for the full $2,600. Gribbohm lost what he claims to be his life savings over the weekend on a carnival game called Tubs of Fun.

Kickstarter Campaign Asks Celebs to Pay Regular Guys to See Their Films | | In the past few months, fans have funded a Veronica Mars movie starring Kristen Bell, and a follow-up to Garden State written by Zach Braff. Now, one tongue-in-cheek Kickstarter campaign is asking celebs to return the favor by paying a pair of plebians to watch their films. California-based friends Luke Barnett and Tanner Thomason say that after fans poured millions of dollars into Bell's and Braff's pet projects, it's payback time.

| A colicky baby turned Syazrina Ismail into an entrepreneur. It all started during the first few months of her eldest son's life. Ismail couldn't put him down for very long, which turned her into a sleep-deprived zombie. "He would sleep on his tummy," she says. "Gassy boy. The only way to get him to sleep longer was to carry him upright." Buying a baby sling isn't a big deal for most, but Ismail lives in Malaysia.

| The Webby Awards on Tuesday announced the winners for its 17th annual webstravaganza. Nate Silver, Charlize Theron and the Mars Curiosity Rover should dust off their fancy duds because all scored nods for achievements in Internet-ing. Each category includes both a Webby Award winner — selected by judges from the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences — and a People's Voice Winner, which is voted by fans.

| Twitter on Tuesday opened up its advertising options for all U.S. users. The company had previously made advertising on the platform invite-only. Kevin Weil, Twitter's senior director of product for revenue at Twitter, made the announcement at TechCrunch Disrupt in New York. He also tweeted it: Just announced at #TCDisrupt that @twitterads is open to all US users.
