| Most well known for their prevalence in alpine regions, urban gondolas — so-called ski lifts on the slopes — could be part of the next wave of technology that helps alleviate urban traffic. Urban gondolas, says Gondola Project’s Steven Dale, are one of the fastest growing transportation methods in the world, though they’ve been widely used in industrial work — including mining and milling — since the 19th century.

| One in four children in the United States are victims of bullying. Taunting, teasing and physical abuse make their bus rides, hallways, lunch and classrooms daily battlegrounds. Every day, 160,000 students skip school out of fear. Some even bring weapons to school, desperate to protect themselves. Now, bullying has extended to another place young people congregate: online, where cyberbullying is just as bad.
