| Two universities were the talk of the Internet early Monday after Stanford traded its old Twitter handle, @SUAthletics, to Syracuse — for fruits both symbolic and literal. "The trade is believed to be the first blockbuster trade in college athletics," Stanford wrote on its athletics website.

| When Brian Solis introduced the first Conversation Prism in 2008, the world was a seemingly simpler place. There were 22 social media categories, each of which had just a handful of brands. ("Video agreggation" had only one brand: Magnify.) Flash forward to 2013, and the latest Conversation Prism (click here for the high-res downloadable version) has four additional categories with at least six brands in each.

| Somewhere, a newshound is whimpering. On July 1, Google Reader headed to a nice RSS farm out west, where it will have lots of space to run around and make a ton of new RSS friends. At least, that's the story Google is sticking to. Bad news aside, you'll need a replacement RSS reader to get your news, and we have an interesting solution: Reddit.
