Mozilla’s Firefox OS is headed to a smartphone near you. The first two phones running the Firefox OS — the ZTE Open and Alcatel One Touch Fire — were officially announced Monday morning, with the ZTE Open expected to hit store shelves in Spain on Tuesday.

Sony’s First 4K Ultra HD Media Player Is Now Available

Sony promised a 4K media player at this year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES). On Monday, Sony said the device is now ready for consumers to order and there will be more content for it this fall. Xbox Music Is Now Available on the Web

Microsoft's Xbox Music service is now available for users on the web as of Monday. Subscribers of the Xbox Music Pass service can now stream or download music on their desktop or laptop using a normal web browser, in addition to Windows 8 and RT tablets, Windows Phones and the Xbox 360. Similar to competitor services like Spotify or Rhapsody, Xbox Music Pass has a large digital catalog for streaming and 18 million songs for purchase.

Mozilla Announces First Firefox OS Phones

Mozilla announced the first two smartphones based on its operating system, Firefox OS on Monday: the ZTE Open and Alcatel One Touch Fire. The two devices will soon be available through Telefonica and Deutsche Telekom. Telefonica announced that the ZTE Open will be offered in Spain starting on July 2 for 69 euros ($90).
