Zynga Names Microsoft's Don Mattrick as New CEO

Zynga has named former Microsoft Entertainment head Don Mattrick as its new CEO, replacing co-founder Mark Pincus, the company announced on Monday. Mattrick, the former president of the Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft, will take over on July 8. Pincus will remain chairman of the board and chief product officer.

Online game publisher Zynga's stock rose about 12% Monday afternoon on rumors of the founder and CEO Mark Pincus' departure. Zynga's stock took a sharp upward turn shortly before 1 p.m. ET, from $2.80 a share to $3.12. On Monday afternoon, AllThingsD reported Microsoft's Don Mattrick, president of Interactive Entertainment Business that centers around Xbox, would be departing to lead Zynga.

Nokia Sales Jump on Siemens Equipment Buyout Announcement

Nokia announced Monday it would buy out Siemens' share of Nokia Siemens Networks for $2.2 billion, a move that jacked Nokia's stock price up more than 7%. The buyout of Siemens' 50% stake in NSN dissolves the joint venture, which was launched in 2007 as a global provider of wireless infrastructure equipment.
