| WordPress De-Emphasizing its Blogging Roots Posted: 30 Dec 2011 02:09 PM PST We’ve known WordPress as a blogging platform, but in the last year or two an increasing number of individuals and organizations are using WordPress to host content of all forms.
I wonder how others are going to feel about this change? What about WordPress.com, where I imagine most new users arrive with the goal of “I’d like to create a blog”? WordPress’ philosophy is that of “Decisions not Options” and while there will remain an option, it seems like a significant decision to change the default look for a new WordPress blog. |
