Google's Android Statue Gets a Chrome Update

Google has a new Android statue on its campus, and it's quite different from its predecessor. The new statue, Google's Paul Wilcox notes, is mounted on Building 45 — one of the buildings near the center of Google's campus in Mountain View, Calif. Unlike the "standard," green Android statue on campus, the new one is metallic — or chrome plated.

For iPhone users who are particularly rough-and-tumble with their phones, one case made of foam claims to provide protection in extreme conditions. Developers of mentalKase say the covering, which accommodates the iPhone 5, 4S and 4, is not only durable, but also lightweight and anti-microbial. "Nothing protects sensitive electronics from shock and impact like micro-cell rubberized foam," according to mentalKase's Kickstarter page.
