Netgear Adds SlingPlayer and Google TV Support to NeoTV

LAS VEGAS — At International CES 2013, Netgear announced the latest member of its NeoTV streaming player market, the Google TV-enabled NeoTV Prime. NeoTV is Netgear's attempt to take on companies such as Roku in the low-cost streaming player space. The players have a small footprint and allow users to access streaming content from sources such as Hulu Plus and Netflix.

Online music publication Pitchfork is launching Pitchfork Advance, a new content vertical allowing readers to listen to entire streams of new albums. In line with the site's editorial vision, the albums will be carefully curated. For the inaugural week, Pitchfork will stream Fade by the New Jersey rock band Yo La Tengo and a reissue of Donuts by the late hip hop producer J Dilla.
