3:00:25 AMEmily Price
If you’re tweeting out a URL, your tweets just got a bit shorter. Starting Wednesday, any tweet sent with a URL will be reduced to 118 characters, or 117 for https links. First announced in December, the reduction is due to a change in Twitter’s t.co link wrapper. It extends the maximum length of t.co wrapped links from 20 to 22 characters for non-https URLs and from 21 to 23 characters for https URLs.

The Future of Facebook as a Social Content Farm
Tuesday, February 19, 2013 12:34 PMThe Daily Dot
