Google Expands Public Alerts to Japan for Quake, Tsunami Warnings

After launching last January in the U.S., Google has now expanded its Public Alerts system to Japan. "It's important for people in Japan to have crisis preparedness and response information available at their fingertips," Yu Chen, Google's partner technology manager, announced in a blog post Wednesday.

Android App Pays You $25 a Month for Watching Ads

Laura Lang, who was brought on as CEO of Time Inc. in late 2011, will step down after the transition is completed and a new CEO has been identified.
