Apple's $17 Billion Bond Sale Is One of the Biggest Ever

In order to raise cash for planned dividend payments and stock buybacks, Apple has sold $17 billion in bonds Tuesday in one of the largest corporate bond sales in history. The amount of money Apple has raised through a bond sale is not unheard of — GM raised $17.5 billion in 2003, and Roche Holdings sold $16.5 billion worth of bonds in 2009.

Airbnb Ups Security Requirements for Renters and Hosts

WSJ's Digital Subscriptions Growing Even Faster Than NYT's

According to unaudited figures released by the Alliance for Audited Media Tuesday, the WSJ's digital circulation increased 62.6% to 898,102 at the end of March, up from 552,288 the March previous.

BlackBerry CEO: Demand For Tablets Will Die Out in 5 Years

"In five years I don’t think there’ll be a reason to have a tablet anymore," CEO Thorsten Heins said in an interview Monday at the Milken Institute, according to Bloomberg. "Maybe a big screen in your workspace, but not a tablet as such.
