iPad Mini Sales Aren't So Bad After All

Apple component supplier Pegatron dismissed reports that iPad mini demand is stuttering to a halt. Bloomberg journalist Tim Culpan reported that Pegatron CEO Jason Cheng said iPad mini revenues had dropped and were “more on demand, while the price has been stable." Just one day after that report, Cheng is now accusing Culpan of twisting his words.

YouTube Introduces Paid Channels

After months of rumors, YouTube finally introduced a pilot program for paid channels on Thursday. YouTube will now let a few dozen of popular channels charge viewers a subscription fee of 99 cents or more per month, the company announced in a blog post. Each of these channels will offer two weeks of free viewing before charges kick in and some will provide discounts for those who sign up for an annual subscription.

Netflix Makes iOS Binge-Viewers Happy With New Update

Netflix has added its slick post-play feature to its iOS apps. The feature was originally introduced last August for the web player, PS3 and Xbox 360 and it allows users to watch more content automatically without having to tinker with the remote or user interface. When watching a TV show, the next episode automatically cues up and will start as soon as the current episode ends.
