12:57:06 AMAdam Popescu
A Kickstarter for the XXX world? Meet Offbeatr, the crowdfunding platform for all things adult. It's sort of like a Kickstarter for porn — a  place to brainstorm and then create all your kinky ideas. And, if they're popular enough, get them bankrolled. Last week the site announced they've funded over $280,000 for pornographic projects since their launch about nine months ago.

Monday, May 13, 2013 10:59 PMThe Daily Muse
It’s Thursday morning, you’re in the elevator, and the CEO skates between closing doors to join you for a 30-floor ride. You consider commenting on the unseasonably balmy weather, but inquire about her watch instead. You then exchange a series of jokes and, in perfect unison, toss your heads back in laughter. At the 25th floor, she insists that you join her in the company lounge for a bite to eat—she’d like to get to know you better.

Is Native Advertising Just Another Term for 'Good Advertising'?
Monday, May 13, 2013 10:51 AMTodd Wasserman
The online ad industry is going native. Consumers' migration to mobile has prompted a do-over in which the dreaded banner ad is being kicked to the curb in favor of messaging that behaves much as other content does. For instance, this BuzzFeed post entitled "15 Reasons Why Cats Are the Most Fearless Creatures" looks just like any other story on the site, but it's actually an ad for retailer Target.

8 Things VCs Think About When Valuing Your Startup
Monday, May 13, 2013 10:02 AMDani Fankhauser
Before you take money from a venture capital firm, you'll agree to a valuation — how much your startup is worth. That valuation will also affect how much of your company you own. Advice for Clueless Brands on Social Media
Monday, May 13, 2013 10:00 AMBob Garfield
Dear Bob & Doug: I’m the CEO of a youth fashion chain aimed at elite teens who think our clothes are the cost of admission to the non-loser tables in the cafeteria.
