Wearable tech fashion is dominating the headlines, with excitement brewing over Google Glass and potential smart watches by Apple and Samsung. Tech giants aside, smaller companies are also entering the wearable tech space, including Embrace+, which alerts wearers to smartphone notifications "through a combination of visual and tactile cues." What's more, this happens all while the mobile device remains inside a purse or pocket.

AT&T Enables Government Emergency Alerts For iPhone Users

AT&T is rolling out a software update for iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, and — in certain areas — iPhone 4 handsets, enabling Wireless Emergency Alerts. In a blog post announcing the software update, the carrier explains: These are government-issued safety messages that include AMBER Alerts, emergency alerts — such as manmade or natural disasters, and Presidential alerts.
