Franky Gehry to Design Facebook's New NYC Office

Facebook confirmed last week's reports that it has signed a 10-year lease for just under 100,000 square feet of office space at 770 Broadway in lower Manhattan. The company will be moving all of its teams from its current office near Grand Central to two floors at the new office, the interior of which architect Frank Gehry has agreed to design. Gehry is already leading the expansion of Facebook's headquarters in Menlo Park, Calif.

Apple Accused of Conspiring With E-Book Publishers

On Monday, a United States government lawyer formally accused Apple of conspiring with publishers to artificially boost e-book prices. The trial against Apple comes a year after the Justice Department first accused Apple of working with five publishers — Penguin, HarperCollins, Simon & Schuster, Hachette and Macmillan — to boost prices and spite e-book market leader Amazon.

DKNY Campaign Combines Art With Augmented Reality

For 16 years, the intersection of Houston Street and Broadway in New York City was crowned with a large billboard featuring a black and white montage of southern Manhattan inside the letters "DKNY" (pictured above). The billboard was pulled down in 2008 after Abercrombie & Fitch purchased the building that supported it — a change that not a few New Yorkers mourned.

'Sports Illustrated' Debuts Daily Talk Show

Sports Illustrated is premiering its first live video series for its website Monday. The half-hour talk show, SI Now, will be hosted by staff anchor Maggie Gray (pictured above) every weekday at 1 p.m., when SI's website traffic levels are highest. The show borrows both from broadcast models, like ESPN's SportsCenter, and from HuffPost Live, The Huffington Post's live weekday talk show channel.
