Inconceivable

Inconceivable

Inconceivable? I doubt it. As the oft-quoted line goes from The Princess Bride: “You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.”

We usually (ab)use that word to mean some bizarre combination of events with a very low likelihood of actually taking place.

Or: something so utterly, awfully, stupidly horrible that to think about it is too much to bear, if one thought about it in any depth at all.

Inconceivable – in both senses – happened to close friends late last week.  The right people are supporting them through the agonzing journey they now find themselves on.

And my point? I wish I had one. I’ll be back next week. Meanwhile, tell someone you love that you love them today. Just in case.
