#FunFriday: Fall Foodie Edition (Five Recipes for Fall)

Fun FridayAlthough it seemed like the dog days of Summer would never end, it looks as if fall is finally upon us.

We're now about midway through September and the weather is taking a turn for cooler temperatures.

Starbucks has brought back its Pumpkin Spice Latte, and before long it'll be time for a festive Peppermint Mocha.

But don't race for that hot caffeinated beverage just yet because we have a very fun (you could say, delicious) #FunFriday edition for you today.

Friday Just Got More Delicious

Who doesn't love good comfort food? Fall is full of amazing comfort eats, and we thought it would be fun to share some of our favorites, complete with recipes. So break out your recipe cards (or take a screenshot) because you're going to want to taste these for yourself!

Pumpkin Spice Lattes

Although you really can't beat the convenience of stopping by your local coffee shop, you can experiment with your own pumpkin spice latte at home. Here's an absolutely amazing looking recipe from Jeanne Oliver Designs. Wow. Move over, Starbucks … ?

Spiced Hot Apple Cider

Whether you're coming in from a crisp evening out, or you're kicking back to read your favorite book, hot apple cider is a fall essential. Although we could have a debate as to whether it's best spiked or un-spiked (spiked!), we'll leave that to your discretion while making this recipe by Kitchen Treaty. (Editor’s Note: With Jameson’s, surely!)

Pumpkin Pie

Not just for Thanksgiving, pumpkin pie should be enjoyed all fall long in our humble opinion. So, we found this delectable looking recipe from blogger The Yummy Life to satiate our need for all things pumpkin.

Pears and Apples

No we are not going to give you a recipe for how to make a pear or an apple. But both of these fruits are staples of autumn, and they're also considered superfoods. So why not try this recipe for a Rustic Pear Apple Tart?

Stew

And for the main course we have: Stew! All those marinated juices, hearty meats and veggies – complete with an assortment of fall herbs like sage – make us want to break out our slow cookers. We uncovered this mouth-watering stew, perfect for fall, over at Amanda's Cookin' and it's definitely going on the 'to make' list.

We promised delicious. Did we deliver or what?

Hopefully you made it through our post without heading off to the grocery store. And, even though we covered a lot of the fall food staples, we'd love to hear which fall foods are YOUR favorite on our Facebook page, or in the comments below.

Now stop drooling and go grab a latte and a spiced muffin!
