FeedBlitz Best Of: Be Our Guest (Blogger)

FeedBlitz Best Of: Be Our Guest (Blogger)

FeedBlitzAs I write this, it’s very early on October 1st, another dark and gloomy morning.

We’ve got a month to go before the Daylight Savings ‘fall back’ happens – good heavens, it’ll be dark until 9 am by that point!

So, to brighten your day today, and in case you missed any, we thought we’d recap four of our fantastic guest blog posts from the summer.

We’ve had great feedback from our community on the calibre of our guest writers, as they share their perspective on branding, content, social sharing, marketing, and RSS integration.

And we truly value the time and effort they’ve put into their fantastic submissions to the FeedBlitz blog. Enjoy!

Media Relations: Advice from a Pro, by Amy Vernon

Amy’s a seasoned journalist, and a force to be reckoned with in the digital space. Drawing on her days as a journalist, Amy shared media relations tips right from the trenches. She provides excellent advice on the importance of building relationships with media people, how to pitch without being a pain, and addresses the special steps startups should take when beginning their media relations journey.

FeedBlitz: Three Reasons to Choose a Paid RSS Service, by Michele Bergh

Michele is a FeedBlitz user, and shared her impressions of the software from a user’s perspective, breaking down her top three FeedBlitz features. She explains how each helps her build relationships – and a better business – by allowing her to stay connected to subscribers, social media followers, and potential customers.

Branding: Your Name is Not Enough, by Erin Feldman

Erin’s a highly skilled copywriter – you might recognize her online as Write Right – and she cuts right to the chase with this post. What better way to get a point across about the awesome power of branding – and how important it is to get it right – than to share a story of ‘the one who got it so wrong’. Remember, reputation is all you have, and reputation and your brand are tied closely together.

Being a Manager is Hard Work – Let Your Team Help, by Lindsay Bell

Lindsay is the Content Director at Arment Dietrich/Spin Sucks and has – as she often says – a few years of life experience under her belt. In this post, she explores the world of the senior executive. Whether manager level or higher, being in a position of leadership is definitely hard work, but many ‘higher up’ types also self-sabotage by trying to do it all themselves. Here are a few things to think about, and some questions to ask yourself – “Surely *I* don’t do that…?” – if you’re leading a team of any size.

Now, How About You?

Not to be left out, we want to extend an invitation for you to share your perspective and/or advice in the areas of marketing, branding, blogging, social media or online marketing.

We're open to your suggestions, and we'd love to have you join our league of extraordinary guest bloggers. Simply send Kate Finley an email to get the dialogue going.
