Governor McCrory Joins Other Governors and Attorneys General to Challenge President Obama’s Expansion of Presidential Power

Raleigh, N.C. -  Governor Pat McCrory has joined the Texas Attorney General, now governor-elect, along with other governors and attorneys general in a lawsuit that challenges President Barack Obama's expansion of presidential power by unilaterally changing immigration law through executive action.

 

In November, President Obama bypassed Congress and legalized the presence of approximately five million immigrants who entered the United States illegally. This is approximately 40 percent of the estimated undocumented immigrant population in the United States.

Governor McCrory, Secretary Tata to Unveil Draft 10-year State Transportation Improvement Program

Raleigh, N.C. - Governor Pat McCrory and Department of Transportation Secretary Tony Tata will unveil projects that will be fully or partially funded under the Strategic Transportation Investments (STI) Law, which created the Strategic Mobility Formula.  The new funding formula, which takes the politics out of road building and instead focuses economic development, safety and congestion, was a major initiative achieved by Governor McCrory during the last legislative session.

Governor McCrory, ABC Commission Launch Anti-Underage Drinking Campaign

Raleigh, N.C. -  Governor Pat McCrory urged parents and adults to talk to young people about the dangers of underage drinking during the launch of the "Talk- It-Out" campaign which was held today at Daniels Middle School in Raleigh.

Governor McCrory Announces $640,448 in Innovation Grants for 13 North Carolina Businesses

Raleigh, N.C. -  New innovation grants will assist thirteen North Carolina companies in bringing new, cutting-edge products to the marketplace. Governor Pat McCrory and North Carolina Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker announced the One North Carolina Small Business Fund recipients today along with awards adding up to $640,448.
