Researchers have found that patients with coronary spasm have a higher risk of heart attack in the relatively near future, especially when the spasm occurs at the site of atherosclerotic coronary artery narrowing. The results of this research have the potential to help in the prediction of future heart attack and with appropriate drug treatments.

Researchers have developed a new sensor system able to quickly and non-destructively detect the risk of corrosion in the concrete structure of buildings and do so when the first symptoms appear.
