'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' Passes $1 Billion Worldwide

Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" has joined a very special club: it is now among the 15 movies in history that have earned more than one billion dollars worldwide. According to Box Office Mojo, the movie has earned $301,134,992 domestically and $700,000,000 in foreign movie theaters, for a total of $1,001,134,992.
