Vintage Moon Photo Project Seeks Public Support

A five-year effort to recover nearly 50-year-old images of the moon is seeking public support to keep the project going. Since 2008, Lunar Orbiter Image Recovery Project (LOIRP) has been reprocessing data received from five unmanned NASA spacecraft in the 1960s.

Google Chromebooks Coming to Six New Countries

Google's Chromebooks from HP, Acer and Samsung will become available in six new countries: Australia, Canada, Germany, France, Ireland and the Netherlands, Google has announced. The rollout, which will start Tuesday, will also include Chromebooks for schools and businesses. Google will organize a Hangout for each new country the Chromebooks are available in, explaining how Chromebooks can be used in education.

Gmail App for Android Update Helps You Search and Reply Faster

Gmail unveiled an update to its Android app Monday, enabling users to reply, archive and search messages more efficiently. Those who own a device running Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and up, can now reply and archive messages straight from their notifications by making a quick selection. Users can now update their cover photo on the iPhone with a tap of their finger. Microsoft to End Support for Windows Phone 8 July 2014

Microsoft has revealed the product support life-cycle for Windows Phone 7.8 and Windows Phone 8 will end in the second half of 2014. Specifically, Microsoft plans to support Windows Phone 8 until July 8, 2014, and Windows Phone 7.8 until Sept. 9, 2014. These dates are derived from the life-cycle start date, which is Dec. 14, 2013 for WP8, and Feb. 9, 2013 for WP7.8.
