Microsoft Warns Against Scam Promising 'Free Xbox Points'

Microsoft cautioned its users against a scam that promises "free Xbox points" for wishing the company a happy birthday on Monday. The software giant debunked the false rumor in a post on its Facebook page. Created by co-founders Bill Gates and Paul Allen on April 4, 1975, Microsoft is celebrating its 38th anniversary this week. "Please do not respond to [the scam]," it said in the post, which has just over 1,400 likes.

Sea Lion Bobs Head to Backstreet Boys in Groundbreaking Study

No, this is not another April Fools' Day prank. For the first time, a non-human mammal has proven its ability to "keep the beat" with music. Prior to the study by the University of California, Santa Cruz, this "rhythmic entrainment" was only seen in humans and birds talented in vocal mimicry. Scientists trained a musically inclined sea lion named Ronan to "bob her head in time with rhythmic sounds," according to a UCSC press release.
