Days before T-Mobile begins selling the iPhone 5 in stores, the mobile carrier is luring customers with an offer that lets them trade up from an iPhone 4 or 4S — at no cost upfront. "Our message to iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 customers is simple: Bring in your device and trade up to iPhone 5 on T-Mobile," Mike Sievert, the company's chief marketing officer, said in a release.

DirecTV to Offer Programming for Dogs

If you feel bad about leaving your dog home all day while you work, DirecTV will offer a solution of sorts: TV programming for dogs. The satellite provider will begin offering DogTV for $5.99 a month in the third quarter, according to Bloomberg. The channel broadcasts content is aimed at canines and includes "scenes with and without other animals, animation sequences and a variety of moving objects,” according to DogTV.

Pandora Now Has 200 Million Registered Users

Pandora has now passed 200 million registered users for its online radio service, the company announced Tuesday. It took Pandora six years to sign up its first 100 million registered users — a milestone it reached in July 2011 — and a little less than two years to double that user base. Bitcoin Tops $200 For First Time

No, Google Isn't Buying WhatsApp

An exec at WhatsApp shot down a rumor going around Monday that Google was in talks to buy the company for $1 billion. The report, in Digital Trends, cited an inside source who said that Google has been in talks to buy the hugely popular messaging app for the past few weeks and the current offer is said to be "close to" $1 billion.
