At least that appears to be the strategy behind Barnes & Noble’s latest Nook HD tablet move. As of today, Nook HD owners will finally have access to the 700,000 apps available in Google Play and the Chrome Web browser found on most other stock Android devices.

'Angry Birds Friends' Now Available for iOS

As promised a few weeks ago, Rovio has launched the Facebook-connected variant of its Angry Birds game, Angry Birds Friends, for iOS devices. The gameplay is essentially the same as in regular Angry Birds games. The main difference is that in Friends, you can compete against your Facebook friends. The game features tournaments with new levels every week, daily rewards, gifts and challenges.
