Skype Now Lets You Make Calls Directly From Outlook.com Inbox

Skype audio- and video-calling will roll out to Outlook.com inboxes across the UK starting Monday, and to the U.S. and Germany in the coming weeks, the VoIP service announced. "We all face those situation where it's easier to jump on a call to talk something through. Sometimes that quick call can accomplish more than a long email reply," Simon Longbottom, Skype's senior director of product marketing, said Monday in a blog post.

Evernote updated its Evernote Food app for Android, which helps users remember the food and restaurants they love, and discover new cuisine. On Monday, version 2.0 added the ability for users to explore recipes from popular food sites within the app, as well as save them in a "My Cookbook" section, making them easier to find later on. A "Restaurants" section displays location-specific lists of eateries around a given user.

Code-named “Cabernet,” the operating system will integrate several core features from Apple’s mobile operating system, iOS, as well as add a number of “power-user” enhancements, 9to5 Mac reports.
